Australian born, I grew up in Melbourne, attending a selective entry grammar school. I attended the University of Melbourne, gaining two undergraduate degrees majoring in Music (violin) and Arts (Social Theory).

After graduation I spent several years working as a teacher in Australia before moving to the Netherlands in 2017. In 2018 I relocated to the UK where I obtained my Masters in Education from the University of Cambridge and a Masters of Music from the Royal College of Music. I have held various roles around London, including a mixture of instrumental teaching, classroom teaching, and academic tutoring. I currently teach full-time at Dulwich College Prep.

My approach is to create an environment which is sufficiently supportive and positive enough for students to feel confident to challenge themselves. I don't believe children do well in overly stressful or negative environments and that this impacts on their ability to learn and retain information. That said, I also don't believe in allowing students to continue bad habits or not put in their best effort, so I set my standards high without making it a negative experience.

I have worked with a range of students with different learning needs over the years and have worked hard to build my knowledge and qualifications so that I have an in depth understanding of how different pedagogy and approaches work for students. The benefit of tutoring is that students are able to be taught at their own pace in a style that works for them, so I keep this in mind in all my work.

When I am not tutoring I work in the classroom at Dulwich College. I also enjoy music (I play violin professionally) and fitness.
