I am a dedicated and experienced researcher with a strong background in Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering. Holding an MPhil and PhD from the University of Cambridge, as well as a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship at Politecnico di Milano, my work has been focused on advancing sustainable technologies in energy conversion, catalysis, and reactor design.

Between my MPhil and PhD, I worked as an Innovation Consultant in Cambridge, specializing in crafting high-quality interdisciplinary proposals for collaborative R&D projects, including H2020 programs, and delivering impactful solutions through techno-economic feasibility studies. This role involved conducting market analysis, developing innovation strategies, and liaising with industrial and academic stakeholders to ensure project alignment.

I have extensive teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including lecturing on process intensification and flow chemistry at Politecnico di Milano. My tutoring expertise spans Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Mathematics, with a proven ability to simplify complex concepts and inspire confidence in students at all levels. I am committed to fostering understanding and helping students achieve their academic goals with clarity, patience, and a passion for scientific education.

Outside of academia, I am passionate about music, particularly drumming and songwriting. When I’m not immersed in science related activities, you’ll likely find me in the studio creating music.

Over the years, I have worked with a diverse range of students, each with their own unique way of understanding and studying their subjects. I combine patience with energy in my teaching, and like to use creative methods, such as analogies, games, and memory techniques, to make lessons both effective and stimulating. I’m passionate about exploring how students learn best and tailoring my approach to suit their individual needs.

My teaching philosophy focuses on fostering a deep grasp of the subject matter, while also developing critical thinking skills and boosting my students’ confidence. I place a strong emphasis on listening to my students, ensuring their voices are heard, and promoting open discussion and debate in every session. By asking thoughtful questions and creating an interactive environment, I aim to make lessons both engaging and impactful.

Since June 2024, I have been the technical co-founder of Marked.Earth, an early-stage (stealth) start-up that operates at the intersection of deep tech and climate tech. Alongside my two commercial co-founders, we are pioneering solutions to chemically transform and valorise textile waste. Our mission is to develop recycled polymeric materials through cutting-edge carbon-looping technologies, driving sustainability in this critical area. Strategically headquartered in Portugal and Italy, we are well-positioned to lead innovation in textile waste valorisation and contribute meaningfully to the circular economy.
