I am a confident and experienced Science educator and examiner with over 30 years of teaching across the UK, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, and Oman. Specialising in Chemistry and Biology, I have taught students aged 11 to adult in a range of curricula, including GCSE, IGCSE, O Levels, A Levels, IB MYP, and IB Diploma. I have held leadership roles such as Head of Science and Science Curriculum Coordinator, overseeing curriculum development and staff support. My career includes teaching at several highly regarded institutions: Raffles Girls’ School in Singapore—one of Asia’s top-performing schools; the Higher Colleges of Technology in Abu Dhabi, where I lectured in Chemistry and Life Sciences at tertiary level; and ABA Oman International School, a leading IB World School and one of the top international schools in the Middle East. I am also an IB and OCR examiner and a Cambridge specialist assessor, with a strong record of academic success—my IB Chemistry students average 6.5 (well above the global average of 4.9), and my A-Level students consistently achieve top grades, many progressing into Medicine, Engineering, and Law. Currently, I teach GCSE and A-Level Chemistry at Giggleswick School, a boarding school in Yorkshire, where I also serve as a House and Prep Tutor. I integrate digital tools such as Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams to support flexible, engaging instruction, and my teaching philosophy centers on curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking, helping students thrive both academically and personally.
